La maggior parte dei collaboratori scientifici del SED è in possesso di un master o di un dottorato nel campo della geofisica. Se anche voi volete diventare sismologa o sismologo, il SED consiglia di seguire il ciclo di studi di master in scienze della Terra presso il PF di Zurigo con specializzazione in geofisica. A coloro che preferiscono un approccio più internazionale, il PF di Zurigo offre un joint master in geofisica applicata. Questo ciclo di studi si svolge per un terzo presso il PF di Zurigo, per un terzo presso l’università RWTH di Aquisgrana (Germania) e per un terzo presso la Delft University of Technology (Paesi Bassi).
Al termine è possibile conseguire un dottorato in sismologia. Normalmente al Servizio Sismico Svizzero sono impegnati circa da otto a dodici dottorandi. Scoprite in questa pagina se attualmente è disponibile un posto di dottorato presso il SED.
Nel corso del video i sismologi raccontano nella propria madrelingua del periodo dei loro studi, spiegando cosa attende gli studenti che sceglieranno questo percorso – illustrando gli aspetti positivi ma anche ciò di cui devono essere consapevoli. Inoltre, permettono agli spettatori di farsi un’idea concreta della loro attività lavorativa quotidiana.
