At the SED since July 2019, I am currently involved in building a new seismotectonic model for Switzerland (SeismoTeCH).

My primary research interests focus on the application of seismic tomography to image the structure of the Earth's crust in subduction/continental collision zones as well as in volcanic settings. I am also involved in technique improvement and development for earthquake detection, phase picking and location with targeted test studies in Switzerland and other regions. A second major avenue of research is the reconstruction of source processes of volcanic earthquakes, with particular emphasis on moment-tensor studies of low-frequency volcano seismic signals to investigate the eruption dynamics at volcanoes.
