Group lead Communication and risk communication research
Michèle Marti is the head of the Communication and risk communication research group. Together with her team of communication specialists, IT experts, researchers and designers, she is responsible for internal and external communication at the SED, as well as various national and international research projects.
The team's responsibilities include providing technical, content and design support for websites, editing and producing information materials, designing and implementing exhibitions and events, and managing media relations. In the event of an incident, the group assists with the dissemination of information and communication with various stakeholders. This broad range of tasks is complemented by research work in the field of risk communication. The risk communication research group is dedicated to exploring how scientific content can be optimally prepared and designed to enable different target groups to make informed decisions.
Michèle Marti represents the SED in several federal bodies dealing with communication on natural hazards, such as the Steering Group of the Federal Natural Hazards Portal, or the Communication Expert Group of the Steering Committee on Intervention in Natural Hazards (LAINAT).
She studied communication sciences as her main subject at the University of Zurich, with political science and modern German literature as secondary subjects. She earned her at the TdLab of ETH Zurich while working for the SED.
