Current duties at SED: I am maintaining, testing and developing Earthquake Early Warning algorithms. I work on how to ensure optimal EEW operation and how to combines independent EEW algorithms in a bayesian framework. I am involved into the migration of the EEW framework into SeisComP3 and in the collaboration between the SED at ETH Zurich and the Nicaraguan Geosciences Institute (INETER) in Managua to investigate and build a prototype EEW system for Nicaragua and the wider region (funding provided by The Swiss Development and Cooperation Fund and the Nicaraguan Government, see our ongoing project on earthquake early warning for Nicaragua).
