Statistical Seismology

The earthquake statistics group at the Swiss Seismological Service (SED) is involved in questions related to probabilistic earthquake hazard assessment and earthquake forecasting in Switzerland and worldwide. In addition, we apply statistical methods to mirco-seismicity as a tool to understand the structure and physical behavior of a wide variety of tectonic regimes.
