Mohammad Shahvar is a visiting PhD student with the Real-Time Seismology group at SED. His research focuses on various aspects of rapid response systems, with special focus on generating ShakeMaps for Iran. Before starting his PhD in 2006, he graduated in Earthquake Engineering at the IIEES Iran with the thesis titled: "Deaggregation of seismic hazard analysis for the Iranian region".
