Real-time Seismology

In Real-Time Seismology, seismic data are collected and analyzed quickly during and after a significant earthquake, such that results can be used effectively for post-earthquake emergency response and earthquake early warning. With advances in seismic instrumentation, computational resources, and communications technologies, real-time seismology is fast becoming a viable and attractive earthquake hazard mitigation strategy.
