About us

The Real-Time Seismology group at the SED actively collaborates with other SED groups, as well as international colleagues, in the areas of earthquake early warning (EEW), ShakeMaps (ShakeMaps), and developing ground motion models for these applications (GMC). We put strong emphasis on transitioning our research into practical tools and products that can be used to improve earthquake resiliency of societies in Switzerland and worldwide.
