Station Noise

These pages contain snapshots updated daily of noise levels observed at all CHNet (both SDSnet/SSMnet), seismo@school, and Swiss GLISN (DK) stations with continuously realtime data transmission to the SED. Foreign stations monitored at the SED also have their data processed daily, but the results are not made public unless requested.

These images are generated by PQLX, running at the SED. The PDF algorithm was created by Dan McNamara at the USGS NEIC, and the PQLX software system developed by Richard Boaz.
Additional information and interpretation of images can be found at Dan McNamara's website.

For those internal at the SED, more information is available on the internal SED dokuwiki. The software also supports an interactive gui where specialised data requests can be made. Please contact John Clinton for more details.
