I am investigating the feasibility and applicability of not only using strong motion sensors but also GNSS and rotational sensor for strong ground motion. Through a combination of all three instruments with a Kalman filter I try to generate a more complete picture of the motion during an earthquake. I am additionally monitoring the Prime Tower with this triple instrumentation. We try to show that when rotations and translations are measured at a single point on the tower roof, we can extract enough information to perform a system identification.
